I was born in Linz / Austria and came to Great Britain in 1994 to work for Newcastle University. I have since then also worked for Siemens Power Generation Ltd and Procter & Gamble. I am now a Principal Lecturer in Computer Engineering at Northumbria University.

I hold the BMFA 'A' and 'B' certificate and the LMA 'Certificate of Comptetence' (Large Model Association's Proficiency Scheme to fly a large model at a public display).
